Background
Marisa Mooney is a clinical instructor in the Division of Speech and Language Pathology at 绿帽社's Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She holds a New York state license in speech language pathology, a certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association, and a New York state professional teacher鈥檚 certificate.
Mooney鈥檚 clinical experience consists of evaluating and treating children ages birth-5 with diverse communication needs. She has extensive experience with early childhood disorders and populations, including receptive and expressive language disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, childhood apraxia of speech, children with medically complex needs and social language development.
With a strong background in language development and family-centered care, Mooney focuses on empowering caregivers through evidence-based strategies that support communication in natural environments.
Her research and clinical interests include early language and literacy development, parent coaching, and interdisciplinary collaboration to promote functional outcomes for young children and their families.
