Background

Sundeep Venkatesan is an assistant professor and co-director of the Brain and Swallow Laboratory in the Division of Speech and Language Pathology at 绿帽社's Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences. He joined the faculty in 2021 as a clinical instructor and transitioned to a tenure-track assistant professor after completing his PhD in Community Research and Action in 2025.

Venkatesan is a licensed speech-language pathologist with over 15 years of clinical experience across diverse settings, including early intervention, K-12 schools, outpatient rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities (sub-acute and long-term care). He holds an ASHA-recognized advanced competency in fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES), enhancing his clinical expertise in assessing and managing swallowing disorders.

Venkatesan has supervised multiple clinical fellows through the certificate of clinical competence in speech-language pathology (CCC-SLP) and New York state licensure processes. He is an active member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NYSSLHA).
